Okay, I know it’s February and my mini summer photo sessions were back in August. But, I eventually wanted to circle back and write a blog post about them. It was two back to back days of meeting great families, enjoying beautiful weather and capturing sweet family photos. All of the families were so much fun to work with! Mini sessions are always fun for me to shoot. I love the variety of ages, varying number of kids and different family dynamics. We got very lucky with beautiful sunshine and very few bugs. My summer mini photo sessions were a fundraiser for the Oregon Public Library as they are raising money to build a new library. Half of the session fee was donated to the library and I’m happy to say the final donation came to $550! I loved to read when I was a kid and have fond memories of riding my bike to the Oregon Public Library in the summer to pick out new books so it was a fun way for me to give back.
Check out the photos above for a small sampling of the family photos captured during these mini sessions. For mini photo shoots I like to get a variety of shots - some posed, some candid, some showing movement and real interactions between family members. If you’d like to be one of the first to know about dates for my 2021 mini photo sessions in the Madison area contact me to get on the list!
