I’m Erin Healy Haselwander, photographer, mom, and lover of all things chocolate. After growing up in Oregon, WI, I left for college to pursue a degree in marketing. After graduation, I moved out of state but couldn’t wait to return to the Madison area. I currently live in Fitchburg with my husband and 3 boys who are ages 7, 6 and 3. Yes, my house is chaotic! And loud, very loud.
My interest in photography began while taking an introductory course in college. At first, I dabbled in nature and landscape photography. But once I had kids my focus turned to portrait photography. I wanted to do whatever I could to document their tiny fingers and toes, adorable chubby cheeks and sweet expressions while they were little. While they are still young, I absolutely love looking back at pictures of them when they were toddlers and babies. It always takes me right back to that moment when the photo was taken. As a photographer, I want to preserve these memories for you and your family. One of my favorite things about my job is reviewing all of the images after each session. I love seeing the way parents and kids look at each other. Those little moments when they forget about the camera and are just naturally interacting with each other. It doesn't matter if someone's hair was a little messed up or someone got a stain on their shirt. More than anything, I want my clients to look back at their photos and see the love and connection between family members. To remember what they were feeling that day looking at their child. That's what drives me as a photographer.
When I'm not behind the camera I like to get crafty with my Cricut, watch cake competition shows on Food Network, golf with my family and cheer on the Badgers. Photo credit for this photo goes to my husband who was making me laugh by saying "great success" in a Borat voice.
If you have any questions (or have a good system for keeping a playroom organized) please let me know.
I hope to see you soon!
